Akokiniskway is Blackfoot language, and the literal English translation is “River of many Rosebuds”. Therefore the puzzle to find the cache will challenge you to follow a, very easy, twelve station historical walking tour, set up by the hamlet of Rosebud, Alberta.
We recommend that you walk the tour in Numerical order as it will take you on a nice loop walk bringing you back to the parking spot.
The 12 stations are in a 4 square block area. It should take much less than an hour to visit and read them all!
The twelve stations are listed below as child waypoints
You may solve the location of the cache by finding the answers to these questions on signs located at the stations, and then substituting the letter with the number in your answer in the final cache waypoint formula below.
A = What is the last digit of the year the Organ was purchased?
B = What is the last digit of the year a Railway station was finally built in Rosebud?
C = What is the last digit of the year it is believed Aaron Hawkins established first harness/shoe shop in the area?
D = What is the fourth digit of the year the first outdoor ice rink was made?
E = What is the fourth digit of the year the Atlas Lumber Company was built around?
The cache is located at N 51 1A.ABD, W 112 5C.ACE
