Greatland Reviewer: Hello:

This cache page has been archived due to the lack of a timely response to one or more prior Reviewer Note(s) about issue(s) with the cache and/or because the Cache Owner has not been online for several months. If the owner would like to have the cache unarchived, please contact me through my profile as soon as possible before another cache gets placed nearby.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page requires it to go through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

Located high up on St. Benedict mountain! Requires a windy drive up, and I recommend a very short walk a few yards down a dirt path which provides an incredible view of mid-Trinidad!!! It is a magnetic key case that I stuck on the back side of the sign near the gateway into the parking area for the monks and visitors.

This cache was made in honor of the Camp Royal 2005! An international event held in Trinidad which hosted groups from over 6 other countries including the U.S. and Canada, as well as 5 other contingents from Trinidad and Tobago! The theme was "One World, One Brotherhood!". We all pitched in to create this boy-scout themed cache starting out with all kinds of trinkets from the camp and the international groups attending. The cache itself is a ziplock type twist lock thing.

To get to the cache or where you park can be a challenge. You take a road (St something) up the hill, winding up the road...you should see crosses that are numbered 1-12. However, you don't want to go to the actual church. You turn off somewhere and take another road up to the place where they hold retrats and have an art center. I think the building was Yellow, and just downhill from it you will see a small dirt path down which the cache can be found.

Although you cannot see Port-Of-Spain, you can see all the other parts outside of it! Hope you enjoy the beautiful cache and church! Thanks to the Carter family at QRC for helping with this cache, I had a great time and can't wait to visit Trinidad again.

Small note on cache maintenance: The people I stayed with down there have agreed to take care of the cache.
