Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Hannawa Falls Halloween Cache, this cache is all treats and no tricks. This cache is meant to be a night cache. If you have sharp eyes you may be able to follow the trail of reflective tacks to the cache in the daylight, but hey, Its Halloween. This cache is set a short distance off of one of many X-country ski trails at Postwood Park.

To find the cache, follow Rt 56 to Hannawa Falls and turn onto Church St. (across from the "Country Store", follow Church St until it turns into Postwood Rd.,follow Postwood Rd. and turn into the parking lot of Postwood Park. The co-ordinates given are for your starting point. The starting point is 2 large poles, set at the far end of the parking lot. Stand by the pole that is closest to the road and shine your light at a 150 degree heading, you should be able to see glowing reflective tacks on the trail, ( the trail to the cache is about .12 miles of easy walking, suitable for all ages). There are tacks on both sides of the trees so that you may find your way out more easily. Follow the tacks until you see a reflective diamond shape made of tacks. From here the crypt, I mean cache, is an easy bushwack of about 60 feet at a 240 degree heading. You are not required to leave anything in this cache, but please sign the log. All items are in zip locks and are of a Halloween theme. In the bag with the log book are a number of items for the brave First Time Finder. You may have any or all of these FTF items.. If any of the items in the cache are running low, please note this in your log, and I can replentish then.

Happy Haunting ( I mean hunting ) and Happy Halloween from Kaseyburrell98

P.S.- PLEASE SAY HELLO TO THE KEEPER OF THE CACHE

CONGRATULATIONS TO MORNSEER - FOR THE F.T.F.

NOTICE and WARNING. This container is an official geocache, and has been hidden here so that other people may enjoy finding it, and then leave it for others to find after them. Cachers never remove someone’s geocache without the owner's permission. If you remove a cache container without permission, you are STEALING. This is a crime in New York State. We call it larceny. If you are convicted of any grade of larceny offense, you will have a permanent criminal record that will be entered in the New York and FBI’s national databases.

When an owner places a cache on public lands, the cache remains the property of the owner. The fact that it is placed on public land does not make it fair game for anybody to take. Think about it: if I leave my bike at a public park, and you take it, you are still stealing my bike.

So please be warned: more and more cache owners are taking steps to protect their caches. This cache may be subject to video surveillance. If you are seen taking or damaging this cache, or conspiring with others to do so, you can be criminally charged for this activity, regardless of your age. It is not funny, it is not a prank, and it is not OK. Please don’t do it. Other people like to have fun hunting for these caches, so please just leave this one alone. It is the right thing to do. Thank you.
