Geocache Description:

A short multi cache, near the River Tay, please take care with young children/dogs, as this is a fast flowing tidal river. There are steps to climb at the start.

The above co-ordinates take you to the South Inch (Shore Rd.) Car Park. This is a "Pay & Display" Carpark from 8am-6pm Mon - Sat.

From the car park cross Shore Road to the River Tay, and under the bridge, where you will find an Information Board "Perth and the Railways".

You will need to find the following answers to get the co-ordinates for the cache.

A) The Perth General Station was built to the designs of William Tite of London in 18(A)7 - 8.

B) As Early as 18(B)4 there was a proposal to build an iron railway to Perth to transport coal from Lochore in Fife.

C) The latter half of the century saw the closure of the Almond Valley Line in 19(C)1

D) Perth Waterworks and Railway bridge circa. 1850. (picture). How many people are there (D)

E) The wooden bridge was replaced in 18(E)2-3 by the present bridge.

F) Photograph of a Scottish Central Railway locomotive in 1862. What number was the loco? (F)

Cache can be found under N56.23.ABC / W003.25.DEF.

PLEASE DO NOT GO ONTO THE RAILWAY LINE !!!

Being Tall would be an advantage,there is a handy foothold.
