Geocache Description:

Come enjoy what William Clark in 1805 described as “the grandest and most pleasing prospects which my eyes ever surveyed, in my frount a boundless Ocean; ... a most romantic appearance." Sacagawea traveled a long way to “See the Great Waters”. You too, will see these great waters during this multi cache and appreciate what Lewis and Clark discovered. This multi cache is within walking distance. Enjoy taking in the views during your exploration to find the coordinates.

To find the second waypoint:

When you arrive, you will be treated to a welcome note! Find out all the kinds of creatures that live in the beautiful sea you can view from this place. Once at the welcome note, find the creatures listed below to take you to the next location. Completing this will take you to the second waypoint - where you will see "The Great Waters".

N 45 55.0AB
W 123 58.CDD

0 = number zero (no creature reference - just the number zero)
A = Rough Keyhold Limpet
B = Hermit Crab
C = Black Turban Snail
D = Common Sea Star

To find your THIRD and FINAL waypoint and cache location:

Stop here for a bit and enjoy the view! At this stop you need to do a little math. Start with your second waypoint numbers and follow the formula below to calculate the THIRD and FINAL waypoint.

Take the second waypoint numbers
45.55.0AB
and add (+) 136 to the second waypoint 0AB above.
123.58.CDD
and subtrack (-) 11 from the second waypoint CDD above.

This will lead you past the Welcome Note, onto the beginning of another trail.

These coordinates will take you to a regular sized cache.

To honor Lewis and Clark's expedition, this cache was originally stocked with:
Lewis and Clark Mug
Lewis and Clark magnet
Sacagawea Coin
Bubbles (hid by geo-owen)
Small Basketball (hid by geo-Britt)
Hackysac (hid by geo-jack)
