The trail is probably more unsafe for the riders than the
horses. The "Unsafe for Horses" sign marks the change from fire
road to trail. If you ride from the Pescadero Creek side, tie your
horse or bike at the sign and hike the last quarter mile.
The cache is on the border between Portola State Park and
Pescadero Creek County Park.
