NEW WRITE-UP – March 24, 2009

The published coordinates take you to the viewing area for the Dragons. Go view the dragons at Dragon Pond and get the clues to solve the puzzle for the location of the cache.

The subject of this cache has been in place for at least ten years and can be viewed from the highway to Manitouwadge from the TransCanada Highway east of the Hemlo Gold Fields.

The cache (peanut butter jar with green lid) only contains small items and logbook.

CACHE AND DRAGON HISTORY: September 25, 2005: CACHE PUT INTO PLACE BASED ON THE DRAGONS AT DRAGON POND

May 5, 2006: TRAGEDY STRIKES: - ONE OF THE DRAGONS HAS BEEN MUGGLED AND CAN NOT BE FOUND

May 24, 2006: MYSTERY SOLVED: - The missing dragon has reappeared after being submerged (feeding?).

April 29, 2007: MAINTENANCE CHECK: - The dragons were painted after the long winter.

May 2, 2008: TRAGEDY STRIKES: The baby dragon has taken a dive

May 21, 2008: DRAGONS HAVE BEEN DEHEADED. (Vandals)

May 25, 2008: Write-up revised and cache reactivated. If the dragons are repaired, the write-up will be revised accordingly.

March 24, 2009: THE DRAGONS HAVE BEEN REPAIRED AND ARE BACK IN PLACE. The dragons have also been painted with new colours. Write-up has been modified. (New encrypted clues have been added which solve the dragon portion of the puzzle)

July 13, 2009 - Number of rods at the end of the culvert has changed (with winter run-off or culvert maintenance)

April 7, 2010 - Only 2 dragons (mother? and father?) in place today.

September 14, 2021 - New Camou Lock-n-Lock container was put into place after it was reported that the cache was missing (probably a bear wanted it more then use

Somewhere between September 14 and 20, the cache was attached by a bear in the obvious attempt for the FTF for the replacement cache.  It left it's evident for the FTF by signing the logsheet with its teeth leaving a great mark almost through the logbook, with a canine tooth.

October 8, 2021 - Cache container was checked out - except for a missing flap, the cache container was steel in good shape - hung higher in the tree
