Geocache Description:

You are looking for a sandwich sized tupperware container which should be relatively snow-free. There is room for small things and I left a TB to start off, plus a first to find prize in the log note book. Please reseal well! May be muggles using the phone.

*NOTE: This business has been closed for several years, sorry! In Granite Oregon, (elevation 6012 according to my GPS) and so far from everything that they were only finally put in the County phone book this year, there is a wonderful oasis: a combination Restaurant, Store, Bar, and Gas Station is in the middle of some excellent elk and Deer hunting country and does a great job of having just what the local campers need, whether it is a phone, gas, ice, beverage, or if you are packed in, like Ace and I...REAL FOOD! They have great burgers and fries and several other choices (although they DONT have steak) It is a very homey atmosphere with very friendly people. For years I hunted nearby and wondered if there was anything in Granite. I wanted to place this cache so others could find this neat little suprise, so got permission from the owners so I could put it in a snow-free location. While on your way, stop in Sumpter for "two tracks" and go up and visit the powerhouse if the road is clear. The local people said the road to Granite is kept clear in Winter (no further) so this should be available year round. Enjoy the beautiful country side and look for deer, elk and other wildlife.
