Severnsiders: Sorry to say we are archiving this cache as it has been too problematic at this location as is a a high muggle area, and any new hiding places are dog exercise areas so messy, or have too many brambles or are in a place of scientific interest so impossible to relocate.
We took along time to archive as we hoped to find a place but impossible around work to do quickly. We had considered a nano cache but that would require redoing cache to take in the location but hide outside it. Good luck to someone else if they would like to do one here as it is a lovely location.

Geocache Description:

More or less level walk suitable for buggies, wheelchairs. Good idea to take care of children/dogs near the pier and river(huge drop near the sluice gates and no protection on the pier from going over the edge.) Cache replaced to this position on 6/6/10 after being 'muggled'.

Parking is anywhere you like along the road but the nearest car park to the docks is at N51'42.626 W002'30.510.

Cache is in a 1/3 litre plastic air-tight container which has been placed inside a camo cover. The usual small goodies are within. Likely to be busy on fine weekends so be careful when retrieving and hiding.

A great deal of effort has gone into restoring the Lydney docks including new sluice gates from canal to river. Magnificent views - ideal for bird watchers and those seeking peace.

For the active, there is a public right of way along the top of the ridge, through the five bar metal gate, which will take you to the Severn Bridge.
