Geocache Description:

There is ample parking in Stone, and closer to the cache near the George and Dragon pub, just south of the roundabout and The Darlaston Inn. Access to the starting point is along the canal, and you can follow your GPS signal to the starting point. If you park near the George and Dragon, cross the road for Barlaston and head up a small track where a Public footpath takes you across a field to the canal. From here, follow your GPS signal to the starting point.

I HAVE MOVED THE CACHE!!!!HERE ARE THE NEW CALCULATIONS, IT IS STILL LOCATED WITHIN 100 METRE OF MEAFORD!!!THANKYOU!

The cache is located just North of Stone in an area known as Meaford, hence the title.
This geocache requires a little time searching around your home for a scrap of material. Ideally 10cm by 10cm, but I’m not too fussy. I shall collect the material left in the cache and sew it all together to make a beautiful geocaching patchwork blanket.
If you want, create your own patch (e.g. sewing or cross stitching a picture to it) and try to make it unique to YOU. It may also be possible to make one using iron on inkjet paper. I thought this cache would go down well because the blanket would have a part of everyone in it, and would bring all us geocachers together. I shall post a picture of the completed blanket on the website. Please put your name or geocaching profile name onto the patch so we know who you are! You needn't leave a patch if you don't want to though!
The cache container is a two-litre water tight Tupperware box.
Please do not take anybody elses patch.
Your starting point is N 52 55 105
W 002 09 766
To decipher the final co ordinates you need two visit two locations (including the starting point) to gather information.

The final cache co-ordinates are given by the code

N 52 54 number X
W 002 09 number Y

You will have to gather information to calculate numbers X and Y.
At the starting point gather info for X

X= Bridge number x (number of mooring posts above lock+3) - number of planks on the footbridge - 45

The second location co-ordinates are

N 52 54 838
W 002 09 915

Here you will calculate Y.

Y= weight of the top gate(found on white part of gate nearest the houses) + the first two digits of the weight of only one of the two gates at the bottom of the lock.

Good luck with finding the cache!!!
