Geocache Description:

This cache is located near a small (about the size of a VW Beetle) balancing rock on top of a hardwood ridge.

This cache can be approached from either side of the ridge that it is located on via logging roads. This was my second visit and I have parked at N46 20.271 W67 12.311 on both occasions. It is only 400 m away as the crow flies but seems like much further due to the terrain and vegetation. The rock is somewhat smaller than the other balancing rock to the south. It is somewhat amazing to see how it is balanced there. I heard a story some time ago that an American sportswoman once sat on top the rock and shot a caribou that once roamed these parts.

The cache is well hidden and you may have difficulty finding it without the clue due to the poor satellite reception under the heavy tree cover. It is in a plastic mayo jar covered in camo tape. It contains some trading items, a cache note, log sheet, and pencil.

Enjoy!
