Geocache Description:

The Pembina Trail is an historic wagon trail that was a primary route to Winnipeg for settlers and traders. After crossing the Red Lake River at Old Crossing Park, settlers would travel the ridges along the Red River Valley north to Pembina, and eventually to Winnipeg.

The cache is located on private land just off of a paved highway (the "Pembina Trail Highway".) Print this page and have your GPS with you. This will grant you permission to be on the private land. The wooded area is known by the locals as the "Beehive Woods". You'll see why when you get close to the location. The cache is a green .30 cal ammo can. Initial contents include the stash note, logbook, writing tools, and the usual trinkets and treasures. Look over the area before entering the woods, depending on where you enter, this can be either very easy or very difficult. (If in doubt, see the hint!)
