This cache has been archived.

salpal: I am archiving this to open the area up. There was a lot of destruction with the flooding in May. Thanks to all who hunted it.

Geocache Description:

This is a simple 4 part multi-cache in beautiful Deerwood Arboretum. Be sure to pick up a Tree Identification Trail Guide near the parking lot. There is a paved path for part of the hunt, a trail for the rest. If it has been raining a lot, you'll want to use discretion, as the Little Harpeth River is close by. Open Dawn to Dusk.

Take the kids and some paper for some simple arithmetic. Pets allowed on leash. Go to the above coords, which is Stop #1. Look for the tree tag number. Add that number to both these N and W coords for Stop #2: N36' 02.050' W086' 50.140' Follow the path and trail and at Stop #2 find the tree with the tag number. Add that number to both these N and W coords for Stop #3: N36' 02.164' W086' 50.294' Follow the trail and at Stop #3 find the tree with the tag number. Add that number to both these N and W coords for Stop #4, The Cache: N36' 02.201' W086' 50.425' Please put the cache back exactly as you found it. Enjoy your walk through this beautiful park, and learn about some trees.
