Geocache Description:

The beginning of trail is loose rocks - but easy going after that.

Alameda Park is a great place to visit. We placed our cache here to bring some new visitors to this local park. We spend alot of time looking for critters in Sullivan Run Creek, which runs through the park. We've attended events at the Carousel Shelter. There's also a big playground, swimming pool, trails, etc. We started on the trail behind the Jaycee's picnic shelter. The gravel is a little hard to walk on until you get to the top of the hill-so please be careful. Once you're at the top of the hill-you'll go across 2 bridges. It's not far after the second bridge. Good news - we didn't see any poison ivy and very little bushwhacking is needed. The cache is a green ammo container filled with stuff us kids would like. Please log your visit and let us know the condition of the cache. If you have any scout stories - please share!! This is part of our Bronze award and we look forward to seeing who has visited! Each girl has put items in the cache and is watching the posts! The troop has placed a FTF reward-samoa T-shirt (youth large). Also, this area is a good cache in trash out site. A Girl Scout always leaves a place better then the way she found it! Thank you for visiting our cache - enjoy the park!
