JAMM: Well it certainly was confusing between the found it logs and the DNFs plus notes from past finders saying stuff was missing. This needed to be investigated and today I had some free time for that. Turns out stage 2 and 3 were both missing. I have no clue how the August 7th finders completed this but today it is impossible. Given the effort to reproduce those stages I opted instead to archive it - after all it had a great run and many if not most have completed this quest. Not to mention that it's sister caches in the series are all gone too. Still I was sad to see it go this being one of my favorite hides. I leave the space for the creativity of other cachers, please put something nice in this spot. Meanwhile I will have to think about what to do with all the stages I picked up.... hmmmm.

Geocache Description:

The Hunt for X Continues at Talcott Mountain. You will be briefed at Stage 1.

Details:

This is a 4 stage multi-cache with challenging “hides”. At stage 1 you will find an Ammo Box with further instructions. You may park near stage 1 but please pay close attention to parking restrictions. The hike between stages 1 and 2 is steep and challenging. For an easier, slightly longer, hike drive to the Huebline Tower trail head. Dogs are allowed, leash is required especially near the final. The final cache is a small container with limited room for trading. All stages of this cache are close to the trail – there is no need to bushwhack. Portions of this cache run along a steep ridge, don’t follow your GPS over the side. All stages are hidden away from the cliff. Take extra care with small children.
