Looked for and never did find the original cache placed here but really enjoyed climbing this very unique monolith so when the original cache archived, "The ROCK II" was born. This is a steep climb on a good trail but it can be slippery when wet. The horizontal distance from parking coords to cache is 247 feet. The elevation gain is about 140 feet making the average slope 29.5 degrees. On the top you will find a shelter where there used to be a picnic table, handy if it is raining. Note: If your approach has anything to do with a cable, you're doing it wrong.

DIRECTIONS: 1) There is limited parking at 46.16.114, 122.54.440 which is near the trail head. Follow the trail to the top. 2) The cache is a 4 x 4 x 2 blue lock and lock so small trade items are best. 3) When closing the cache container please be sure all four sides of the lid snap shut and make sure the cache is hidden under bark so it is not visible when you have finished. Note: The photo to the right is not really the rock you will be hiking up.
