Yates Sawgrass Public Use Area Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

team:CHETT: If it couldn't be found fairly easily, it is undoubtedly gone. Hunters use this area constantly and an ammo can would be a sitting duck. I will be back.

Geocache Description:

One of the little known public use areas around here.

You will go out of your way to visit this cache, but it should be worth your while. Get on Lofton Rd. at Highway 98 in Basinger and follow it all the way to the gate at the navigational locks. To your left is the Yates Sawgrass and the Telex Marsh area. You can park and follow the hiking trail (if you can call it that) for a ways and you will find this one. It is an ammo box and is at ground level.
This was once the third leg of the "Basinger..Bassinger?" cache, which will be going back to it's original location.

This is a rough area..WEAR LONG PANTS and be prepared to carry small children in places!
