Alameda Creek #2 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

A decon container hidden not far from Alameda Creek. Bring your own pen.

This cache is the second in a series along Alameda Creek. Alameda creek runs through Niles canyon and flows to San Francisco Bay ending near the Dumbarton Bridge. Bike trails run along both sides of the creek down for about 10 miles ending at Coyote Hills Regional Park.

This cache is near the east end of the gravel pit lake called Kaiser Cove. This cache is about 1/2 mile west of Mission Blvd. Best to find this cache and the others along the route is to park at SuperGenius #20-More Niles Canyon (GC9F8A) and bike over here as you head down the trail.

The coordinates where checked using two GPSr's and were allowed to settle until they both matched. Initial contents include Colorado Blue Bunnyman Travel Bug and Steve Martin Buttons #775, 780 and 788.

Congratulations to kusanagi on collecting the FTF.

Update: 11/05/2005 I replaced the cache and placed it a new spot about three feet from the original location. New initial contents include Steve Martin Buttons #874 and 878 and a packet of Bike tire tube repair patches.
