Geocache Description:

This cache is an all weather hide. It is wheelchair accessible and you can park within a few feet.

This is a micro cache. You will be searching for a 35mm film canister which contains a small log book and pencil. The cache is hidden on the edge of residential property owned by Ralph and Lorraine Howerton. Permission has been secured from the land owner. Please be respectful of the area and refrain from searching for this cache after dark.

This hide will take you to art work that was done with a chainsaw in October of 2004 by a man named Russell Ehart from McLouth, Kansas near Leavenworth. He has since moved to Cold Brook, New York.

Other works of art done by Ehart include Daniel Boone, an Indian, and a 15 foot tall carving of a bear grasping for a fish gripped in the talons of an eagle, in Tonganoxie, Kansas. A lion mascot for Lawrence High School, an eagle in Oskaloosa, an Indian in Bonner Springs, and two angels and a cherub at Holy Angels Cemetery in between Tonganoxie and Basehor, north of 179th Street and Leavenworth Road. Happy Caching.

10-29-05 Two new carvings have been added. One 20 feet northeast and one 100 feet west of the hide. Be sure and check them out.
