While doing cache maintenance in the area today, I had the
Geopups (Phoenix and Dagger) with me. There is a tribute cache here
to one of their former "roommates" - Rocco. This is such a nice
park where four legged cachers are welcome, that I decided to place
another cache here to entice more folks to come and visit Oak Hill
to go geocaching. I decided to let the Geopups choose the area that
it is hidden in. There are now EIGHT caches in this quaint little
town.
The cache container is a 1 qt. cammoed plastic jar. It has a
logbook, pen, and assorted geo-trinkets in it. It is off one of the
lesser used trails near the parking area. You can bring a picnic
lunch, let the kids play on the well-groomed playground, fish,
camp, or launch your boat while your here. There is also a chance
that you'll get to see some manatees in the canal by the entrance
to the park.
