As we drove around Grapevine Lake the day this cache was placed,
we saw quite a few couples smooching. This seemed to be the order
of the day on such a beautiful day. This gave us the inspiration
for the name of this cache, as well as its location, which is
amidst a variety of heavy underbrush. We imagined that perhaps
someone amongst these happy couples had instead received the
dreaded "brush off" and did not have an opportunity for smooching
on this nice day.
In any case, be prepared for a little bit of bushwacking to find
this container, although not too much. There are several other
caches in the same general vicinity of Grapevine Lake (in fact the
nearest cache,
The 'Shwack (GCM8ZA), has the exact same container type!) and
it makes for a nice day out if the weather permits. There were
signs that this cache location is used by those walking their dogs,
so watch your step!!
The nearest parking area to this cache is a fee area for the
lake for those with boats or planning fishing. However, if you just
plan to grab the cache, it's likely you'll be able to park there
briefly (there was not a single car in the lot the day we were
there, despite brilliant weather). If for some reason you feel bad
about parking in a fee area, park at the nearby baseball fields and
walk the short distance to the cache instead.
