Geocache Description:

This is another Ivanhoe Way cache site taking in a 2 ½ mile circular walk of the Ivanhoe Way and the Leicestershire Round, it’s starts from the quite and picturesque village of Shackerstone. This hunt consists of two cache sites the 1st being a micro cache (2” x 3” plastic container) holding only part co-ordinates to the final cache (a 2 Lt square plastic container) with the normal goodies.

I recommend parking your car on Station Road about 200 yards on the right hand side near to the area map board. From here head down station road past the litter bin on your right hand side (with the numbers 1993 on it) and follow the track past farm buildings on either side and over the canal bridge(Turn Bridge) to drop onto the towpath sign posted Ivanhoe Way, from here walk about 200 yards and you will see the yellow footpath marker directing you over the stile and across the field, (You should now have collected all the numbers from the clues to be able to complete the co-ordinates) keep to this path and you will be heading in the right directions, happy hunting, oh and by the way don’t forget the mystery clue otherwise it’s a long walk back. (Some parts of this walk do get very muddy in places so wellies or boots may be essential).
