Geocache Description:

Do not attempt to find this cache before 6:00pm on Friday 14 October, 2005.

Born on 6 Decemeber 1920 in Concord, California, jazz legend Dave Brubeck is equally distinguished as composer and pianist.

During the 1950's he assumed a leadership role in what became known as “West Coast” or “Cool” jazz.

In 1959 the Dave Brubeck Quartet released their tour de force, the innovative Time Out, spawning the first million-selling jazz record in modern jazz history with the singles “Take Five” and “Blue Rondo a la Turk”.

In 1964 Brubeck became the first jazz musician to be featured on the cover of Time magazine.

Brubeck performed this year (2005) at the San Francisco Jazz concerts.

To find this cache you will have to think in fives.

Posted coordinates are that of a possible parking area but it is principally for the customers of the business establishments. There is on street parking around but it will involve a longer walk.

A copper tag is affixed on an object at N45 27.609 W 75 32.918. The tag’s numers when multiplied by 5 will reveal the distance in metres and true bearing of a man-made structure to which you will proceed.

To obtain the final cache location data, there is an obvious number that is divisible by 5. Do the division and use that answer to multiply 0.915 resulting in the distance in metres . A second number divisible by 5, is on the structure but is not on or below the first number. Again, divide this number by five and multiply the answer by 46.8 to get the true bearing

Having found the cache, logged in and traded, take five yourself and enjoy your accomplishments during this GAG7.
