This 4-stage multi is hidden at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park on Adobe Canyon Road. The name comes from a toad I caught up there for my daughter while making the hide. If you're tired of easy parking lot hides, then this is the cache for you.
Free parking is available at the trailhead at N 26.298, W 31.127. If you park there you should arrive early because space is limited.
Wildlife is abundant here. The day I placed the cache I saw 2 toads, a baby gopher snake, 6 deer, 10 squirrels, and countless lizards.
Do not take the Gray Pine Trail on your way to the final stage. It is steep, exposed to the sun, and boring. Instead, take the much more enjoyable Vista trail to the left. It is shaded and scenic.
Please rehide the final stage by placing rocks on and around the cache container so it won't float away if the creek ever gets that high, thanks!
*** There are rattlesnakes in this park so be careful where you step and reach ***
