This is two caches in one. It is a regular cache (you know the drill, find the container, log in, trade a goodie) AND it has a clue to finding THE GREAT PUMPKIN. We hope you will enjoy it either way!
Linus has a color theme of Blue and we would like you to attempt to help us maintain this when you trade items, but if you can't, that's okay 'cus we want you to have fun just the same.
You will find the clue to THE GREAT PUMPKIN on the inside, back cover of the log book. Even if you are not planning to search for TGP, you might want to write down the clue. You'd feel pretty silly if you had to return for it later should you change your mind.
This series of caches is designed to serve a few purposes. First of all, it is meant to recognize Charles Schultz, creator of the Peanuts characters. When I was young, Mr. Schultz lived next door to my grandparents and in later years, they volunteered time at the ice skating rink he owned in Santa Rosa.
Next, being that Halloween is vastly approaching, we got the idea to use The Great Pumpkin, a classic Peanuts story, for a cache.
Finally, there's the N.U.T.S. From the information we've been able to gather, these are a bunch of goofy, happy-go-lucky cachers just like us. We are eager to attend our first event and join up with them soon!
