A regular cache near a popular resting spot.
What?!? Well, you see, back in the dark ages, (when GPSr units were basically a cardboard box, an old phonograph, and a lot of duct tape), there were a couple of caches near this very spot: Creekside Rest (GCGJ2E) by brachiopod, and Walk Like a Begyptian (GC1102) by PaulWhy. They were both placed near the creek where it’s a nice place to sit and rest.
Unfortunately, El Diablo gobbled them both up. But it’s much too nice an area not to have a pit stop.
I’ve placed a Regular sized geocache a short distance away…hopefully an area that has less traffic.
You can hike or bike to this cache. This is a high traffic resting spot and the cache site is viewable from the trail. Use care when retrieving and replacing the cache. Use your discretion if crossing the creek. Watch for venomous snakes and poisonous plants.
