On top of Green Horn Mountain with a view of Schwietzer and some
glimpses of sand creek road.
This area is accessed by the Mickinnick Trail. A new and popular
trail very close to Sandpoint just behind the Fairgrounds and just
off from Woodland Drive. Parking cords are N48 18.646 X W116 34.091
at the trailhead. About 3 miles up that trail where it gains the
top of the ridge and turns to the west, is where you need to leave
the trail and proceed East about 50 yards to a rock point. The ammo
can is snuggled in the rocks and short brush near the very top.
Afew TBs and tinkets and some toys for any children that may
acompany you to the cache.
