This cache is a small ammo can located in Oxbow Meadows. A beautiful public land area that used to be unusable swamp and landfill. It has been converted into a beautiful area with lakes, walking trails and informational areas.
The Park is a learning place for people of all ages and it provides an area for outdoor education, field experimentation, and recreation. Oxbow Meadows endeavors to stimulate in all visitors an outdoor conscience and awareness. Education also takes into consideration the historical, cultural and economic attributes of the area. Once a landfill site, Oxbow Meadows demonstrates for citizens how damaged land can be rehabilitated and maintained. There is a golf course on the property and a learning center which is worth a visit. Oxbow is available by foot and bike but is closed to vehicles at 5:30 PM.
The cache is well hidden but worth the search.
