Well, this used to be a "fun field" area for soccer, softball, etc. when the cache was first placed. Now most of the former open area has been designated as a Navy child development center, with new construction and fenced playgrounds. The path from the street is accessible again, with a small area of park/picnicing available. The cache site is still within the small park area outside the fenced playground area. A short trail from Chollas Lake's main parking lot also leads to the cache site. The gate at this end closes a half hour before sunset.
Easy for the experienced; it may be a little trickier for newcomers. M&M tube, log only. $ First to Find prize.
