This is a little known sundial by William Drexel and OK Harris. It was originaly placed at Central & Girard in 1985 and moved here in 1995. It is one of OK Harris' early works, his mentor Drexel died in 1987. Harris became a well known artist in his own right and is one of my favorite local artists. Come at 9AM, 12 noon or 3PM to see if the parks dept got the layout right and see an infinity loop in action. There are a lot of variables that affect the accuracy of the reading. If you don't get a good one, just appreciate the art.
6/12/08 - O.K. Harris passed away June 8th, 2008. He will always be remembered by his whimsical sculptures that grace many parts of Albuquerque. Although we met him briefly, we feel like we've lost a friend,
