Geocache Description:

This is now a stand alone, shortish multicache type but you need to determine the location of the first Micro first, before venturing into the field. Enjoy!
The Agency estimates 1 - 1½ hours to complete.

The Project (Bucks)

Sam had always wondered what ¥ was? Now he knows.

Suggested Parking:
N51 44.325    W000 45.160

In preparation for undertaking this mission, answer the SIX questions in red below. This will provide you with co-ords for the micro.

  1. George Orwell's famous year?
  2. The Battle of Aylesbury took place in what year?
  3. Write down the TWO emergency telephone numbers in use in the UK in ascending order to give a SIX digit number.
  4. What is the decimal value of "cad" to the base of 16?
  5. Convert to decimal: MCDLXXIX
  6. Write down the following signs of the Zodiac in order: 8th sign; 1st sign. For each sign, write down the number of letters in the name. i.e. If the 3rd sign is Sagittarius the number you write down is 11.

You will then have an TWENTY FOUR digit number. Assign each individual number a letter from A - Z, in order, into the grid provided

A B C D E F G H J K L M

N P Q R S T U V W X Y Z

e.g. Should your 24 digit number be 94531.. etc then A=9, B=4, C=5 and so on. Of course YOUR numbers will be different to these. Any numbers repeated are still assigned their own letter. Clear as crystal? Good. Now feed your answers into the following formulae:

N51 (M-T)(E+Q).(A+K)(F+U)(X-Y-J)    W000 (M-T)(W-L).(V+H)(Z+R)(B-C)    Microcache

You may think it easier to park closer to the microcache. This is NOT advisable. The roads are very narrow. From the crossroads, walk due WEST. You will soon arrive at a footpath on the left for you to take. Climb the stile and follow the arrow.

NB You will need to take this information with you:

  • A: 0.14 miles
  • B: 0.12 miles
  • C: 0.14 miles
  • D: 0.18 miles

On arriving at your destination acquired from the microcache, you must decide which route to take: A,B,C or D and walk the relevant distance shown. All will become clear once at the location.

At that location you are looking for the Tree Stump shown in one of the pictures listed. A micro with the final co-ords is situated there. If you recognise any of the locations in the other photos, look no further, the micro will not be there. It is advisable to take a printout of the pictures with you. The pictures were obtained vis US CIA Satellites and are therefore not of the highest quality. Accept our apologies.

Good Luck
Should you or any of your agents be captured, the Agency will deny all knowledge of your existence.
