A Rose Is A Rose Is A Rose Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Please take care not to get noticed by muggles in hunting, retrieving and replacing the cache. Please make sure to well cammo the cache back in its hide once you have found it.

Coordinates to the street level entrace are: N 37° 49.234 W 122° 14.835

WARNING: PAGE LAST UPDATED ON 3/26/06. I JUST CONVERTED THE CACHE FROM A MULTI TO A TRADITIONAL CACHE. THE HIDE STYLE AND LOCATION ARE EXACTLY THE SAME AS BEFORE.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE KILROY GANG ON THEIR FTF!

GUIDELINES: The cache is alongside a paved walkway (within 5 feet and less). Due to the careful placement of the caches, you do not need to trample any roses to find them! (Don't worry, this is not one of those ivy hides.) Please put the cache back where it came from and hide it as well as or better than when you found it.

THE PLACE: The cache location is Morcom Rose Garden, a smallish neighborhood park in Oakland, California. It has several noteworthy purposes: it collects and maintains rare indigenous and exotic roses (over 6,000 plants and 300 species), memorializes each Bay Area Mother of the Year recipient for the last several decades, is home to a community of semi-feral cats and is a lovely place for a wedding, picnic– or more importantly, a cache!

THE PARK BASICS: It is a beautiful destination all year long regardless of the blooming season thanks to the terraced lawns, ponds and fountains. Due to the community of kitties which the neighbors foster here, dogs may not be allowed and/or are at the very least required to be on a leash. The site also has working drinking fountains and bathrooms and limited street parking. The park is accessible 24/7.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: If you are into it, there are at least 2 letterbox caches in this park. For the rest of you, these caches contain ink stamps that are an integral part of their letterbox game. Please do not take their stamps!
