Geocache Description:

The Callippe Preserve Golf Course was dedicated on 11/5/05 in Pleasanton, CA. It is named after the Callippe silverspot butterfly, which is endangered.Surrounding the golf course is 280 acres of land that is to be preserved as permanent open space.

There are trails above and around the course and the homes to be built here. I came out here to see the trails and possibly drop a cache or two. As DavidT21 & Fisherwoman and I were checking out this trail, I spotted a small bridge ahead of us. It crosses the head of a small ravine on the hillside.

Fisherwoman unselfishly sacrificed a part of a unique cache to allow people to retrieve this cache. Please bring your own pen.

The cache can be SAFELY retrieved. There is NO need to go on any dangerous terrain for this cache.
