This cache has been archived.

West Texas Reviewer: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so the cache is being archived to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 15 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the West Texas Reviewer.

Geocache Description:

Typical "geocache on a bridge" hide on a not so typical bridge.

Summary of the Historical Marker:

Built by the George E. King Bridge Company in 1904. The bridge uses steel construction, wood decking, lattice railing, pin-connected members and stone abutments. 141 feet end to end crossing the Leon River.

Summary from BikerMike:

Cool old bridge! I have a thing for old bridges and old cemeteries. In fact, the day I placed this cache, I also placed two in Cemeteries along the way. And if you get the chance, and dare to, stay on the bridge when a car or truck drives over it. The wooden trusses shake and rattle. While I was placing the cache and marking it, three trucks drove past. Each time I just knew I was going to end up in the river, but I stayed dry.

Have fun! And look for something magnetic...DOH!
