The electric-powered Osaka Monorail is the longest monorail in
the world. It opened in 1990. It is currently 23.8 kilometers long,
and has 16 stations along the route. It carries about 78,000
passengers per day. Immediately after the 1995 Kobe earthquake, The
Osaka Monorail served as the most efficient evacuation route as
traffic jammed the nearby freeway.
None of that has anything to do with this cache. It's just
something to reflect upon as you enjoy this beautiful Seattle
location.
