E = Mc2: Two caches gone in one week in OCP. This one looks like it might have been bulldozed. Not the first time that this has happened to me but it irks me to have also lost my very first Travel Bug, which was in the cache. The hide area is wasted, so this one will have to go.

Geocache Description:

Otter Creek Park offers over 2600 acres and more than 20 miles of trails for your enjoyment. This cache is located on the 7.9 mile long Red Cedar Trail roughly half way between the intersection designated R-6 and the intersection of the Valley Overlook Trail designated V-5 on the map. Maps are available for free at the Park Office or at the Nature Center.

The last time I was at OCP I was placing another cache, Shagbark Hickory (GCRERF). The son and I decided to go do some caching while we were here and we ended up traversing this terrain in the dark in order to get back to the truck. When I got home and submitted the Shagbark cache, the waypoint GCRAMP came up. I knew what I had to do. The cache container is a approximately 6x4x2 snap-n-lock container painted camo. It is hidden on the downhill side of the RCT, in an area that gives me a CRAMP just thinking about hiking it again.

Nearby parking and caching is available at the Nature Center (GCJME4) or near Camp Tecumseh (GCNH10). If you are a 'horse person', bring your horses and make a day of it, as the cache is on the only trail (7.9 miles long!) in OCP open for horseback riding. Trailer parking is just across the street from the Nature Center, too! Have fun!
