Where's Mr. Waldo? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Mr. Waldo: We noted when we first hid this cache that it would be a great place for kids to make a "fort"; you can sit hidden in the middle of the bushes and watch people walk by. Well, the kids finally discovered it; the cache is gone and the place now "belongs" to the kids.

Our first cache had a pretty good run, thanks to all who visited it.

Geocache Description:

Mr. Waldo has finally taken enough time off from his nap to put a cache together, his first.

This should be an easy cache if your GPS is behaving. Most maps are not up to date for this area. To get to the cache area: from Golf Club Rd, turn left onto Palm Canyon Dr. (just past USPS kiosk). Turn left onto Sonora Springs Blvd. and keep going west until the end of the pavement. The cache is a short hike from there. There are other alternate entry points, but the walk will be a little longer. The cache area is part of a nature park in the planning stages, so be sensitive to the NM desert critters (including rattlesnakes!).

Because of all the great fun we have had searching for the multitude of caches the local geocaching community has placed here, there will be first, second, and third to find prizes. Thanks to all!

Note: Please note exactly where cache is placed and cover it well. Otherwise it is very easy to see and likely to be muggled.
