Geocache Description:

Pack up your gear for this one!!! Be sure to bring a camera, fish pole, picnic lunch and a comfortable chair to sit in as you just may want to spend a little time at this cache site!

This cache will bring you to a popular fishing area and boat launch along the Salmon River. There are several breathtaking views that definitely warrant a photo, so don't forget the camera!! One of my favorite shots from the cache area is that of an old "WOODEN" water tower. I believe this to be one of the last of its kind in existance. I am doing a little research on the history of this tower and will add it to this cache as soon as I find out more about it.

11/20/2005: Thanks to ab2ms, I have a little more information on the Water Tower. "THE TANK IS OF WOOD AND STEEL CONSTRUCTION WITH A CONICAL POINT AND LIGHTNING ROD AT ITS APEX. IT IS 210 FEET HIGH AND WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1914." It is also a benchmark!! How about that, log my cache and get a free benchmark!!! PID OE1999.

BACK TO THE CACHE!! The cache is a well stocked ammo can.To start out I filled the cache with "photo" related items....picture frames, key chains and the like. There is a camera in the cache for you to take a photo of your group. Please email me if you take the last picture so that I can get the film developed and load it to this site. Remember..."a picture is worth a thousand words" and that the geocaching site is "G" rated!!!

Please make trades of equal value, DO NOT TAKE THE CAMERA and rehide the cache as you have found it.

The cache difficulty currently is rated as a two, but this might change dramatically during the height of the fishing season. Beware of Mugglers disguised as fisherman!!!

WARNING: Parents with small children, the water near the cache site has a VERY swift current. Please be careful!!!

CONGRATULATIONS! "Hubbye" for FTF!
