Take Rainbow or Winery Road from SR160 in Pahrump past the Winery and east on dirt road to the first pull out for parking by a little gravel pile and before the first wash-out in the road.
This is a replacement cache for Angel-Princess Too cache that was muggled too many times because it was easy to see from the road. This one, however, is a little further out and is a pretty hike with lots of fossils, cactus, a beautiful view of the back of Mt. Charleston Peak and cool critters including the Desert Tortoise. You will see Kit Fox dens and several tortoise burrows along the way. Tortoises are in hibernation now until spring. If you take a mirror with you, reflect the sun back into the burrow and you may see one back in there! Don't bother them, they are sleeping.
PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE ACROSS THE DESERT TO THE CACHE!!! The cache is less than 600 feet from the dirt road and lots of big rocks and a wash or two to cross, no big deal.
Cache contains a good FTF prize of a bobble-head tortoise and $5.00 gas money as well as other good swag. Good hunting!!
