Wasted Waterfront Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

samirsky: I had some mis-guided hope that this one might show back up. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

I have been kicking myself that I didn't grab the cache IMMEDIATELY when I thought it might be in danger. This was a lesson to me, if I THINK a cache might be in danger, rescue it. Don't be afraid of being late for work, keep my priorities straight and rescue the cache.

Geocache Description:

This is a quick park and grab cache.

Waterfront property on the gulf coast costs in the $Millions, and is measured by the foot. However, there are several areas that seem to be completely wasted, such as this spot. The side of this parking lot is waterfront property. The BACK of the stores in this shopping center is also waterfront property (such a pretty view which is completely wasted).

Perhaps in the future I will hide additional caches that reveal this irony.

This site was originally in the water. In 1948, there was a one-lane, arched, wooden bridge that crossed nearby Turkey Creek. A neighbor of mine was responsible for dredging sand from Turkey Creek to fill in the land that makes up part of this parking lot and adjacent strip-mall. So this waterfront property is actually landfill.

This site is near the main road through Niceville and in direct view of nearby shops, so use stealth to avoid being muggled. The container will hold many small items. Thanks to Tim H. for his help in developing the idea for this container. Please reassemble container and contents as found.
