Happy Holidays! It's that time of year
again, and to celebrate, we have decided to make a second
edition of our Christmas Tree Cache series! It is our Second
Annual Christmas Caching Tree. Last year, before it was
muggled, our first Christmas Tree Cache was our most popular
cache of all time. More than 25 cache teams enjoyed the cache
in the month of December.
This year, once again, the cache is
located in Webster Park. We tried placing this year's tree in
parks like Durand Eastman and others but no park beats
Webster Park for selection of small coniferous trees. To
reach the cache site, you can park in one of many places.
First off, you can park in the Tennis Courts parking lot.
Second, you can park in the lower parking lot, which is at
the bottom of the first hill heading south on Holt Rd. Also
you could park at the corner of Holt and Lake Roads. The
final area to park would be at the pier lot. No matter where
you park, except the tennis courts, you should head to the
South West corner of the glen and navigate to the cache from
there for a quick and easy adventure. To make things a bit
easier, you can use this
image as a reference to park and navigate to the cache.
The cache is designed to be easy and fun. It is friendly to
people who celebrate any holiday. Even better, THERE ARE NO
THORNS! Follow the directions on getting to the cache and you
will not be pricked! Please be discreet when doing this
cache, and do not allow any muggles to follow you into the
area.
If you like, leave a cheap ornament on the
tree, and we will use it next year!
No matter what Holiday you celebrate have a good, safe Holiday
Season,
Tazwalker & Zachman10
The cache has been striped or ornaments and is hidden within 10
ft. of the tree. To end this season, we would like to announce the
Annual Chile Poem:
Twas the month before Christmas, when all through the park, Not a
cacher was stirring, because it was dark. The caches were hid in
the logs and the trees, In hopes of a find before it is zero
degrees.
The cachers were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of
first to finds danced in their heads. And mamma in her ‘kerchief,
and I in my cap, Had just put away the GPS for our evening nap.
When on the computer there arose some new chatter, I sprang from
the bed to see what was the matter. Away to the keyboard I flew
like a flash, Refreshed my unfound page to find a new cache.
Away I went now walking in fresh melted snow No footprints to
follow, making it harder you know. When, what to my wondering eyes
should appear, But a tree decked out in ornaments and holiday
cheer.
The cache how it shined, the ornaments merry! I hung a white jeep
bug on the tree that I just did carry! Standing back I admired the
tree with the bow, And the body of the jeep was as white as the
snow,
I spoke not a word, but went straight to my work, Signed the
logbook, hung a ornament, then turned with a smirk. Had a nice walk
back on this beautiful day, Back to work I had to go, I'm sorry to
say.
Thanks for the find! I said with a whistle, 'Cause it was a
Tazwalker cache with not a thron or a thistle. And then I exclaimed
as I drove out of sight, "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a
good-night!"
Here is a Picture of the ornaments donated. Thanks so very much
for donating, you good deed will go to make next years tree so much
better!
Thanks for all who visited! SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!,
