I placed this one just after Thanksgiving. My mother is a fabulous
cook, but it was time to push myself away from the table and get
some exercise.
The trailhead you will probably want to use is just behind the
fairly new RV park that is just behind the developed recreation
area at Emigrant Lake. But I suppose there are other ways to get
there also.
I think they charge 3 bucks to get into the recreation area, or
something like that, but when in Oregon, just hang around 15
minutes and they will change the rules, so who knows.
The trail can get quite MUDDY, so you may wish to dress
appropriately.
They close the gates to the recreation area at 5pm in the winter
time, I don't know about the summer hours.
