Geocache Description:

Located in the Peggy Keck Reservation, an AVIS property at the corner of Route 125 and Gould Road. You can get within 100' of the cache on well-marked trails, but some bushwhacking is required at the end. The most direct trail takes you up a pretty steep 50' climb which is probably not a good idea for little kids or those who get winded easily. However, this can be avoided by continuing E on the trail at the base of the hill; this climbs more gently then wraps back around behind the cache.

Cache is an ammo box, located in AVIS's Peggy Keck Reservation (formerly known as Rocky Hill Reservation). Park at N42 36.604, W71 07.110, at the corner of Rt. 125 and Gould Road, diagonally across from the State Police barracks, who presumably monitor for mugglers. This reservation may be one of the lesser-known AVIS properties, owing to its close proximity to the better-known and well-trodden Harld Parker State Park just across Rt. 125. But it's worth discovering, being full of deep woods, lush vegetation in summer and steep rocky outcroppings (hence "Rocky Hill"). According to the Andover Trails/AVIS booklet, it's "...a geological gem...the rocks here are among the oldest in the world...all that remain of mountains that have been eroded down through countless ages of exposure". You may become intimate with some of these rocks as you hunt for Peggy's Promenade.

Many thanks to Surfcacher for helping to set this one up.
