I-90 frontage road west of Moses Lake on south side of I-90, then........
For a nice nature walk -- forget about time for a while -- this cache offers some peaceful solitude. Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature with a little hike through the dunes in a wonderful area that teems with plants and wildlife. You'll see and hear birds everywhere.
This cache is off the frontage road on the south side of I-90 west of Moses Lake (use I-90 exit 174 - parking is about 15 minutes off the freeway). Take the public fishing/hunting gravel road that heads south and closely parallels the power lines. Once on the gravel road instructions to the parking area are: TAKE THE NEXT TWO RIGHTS -- we're talking the main gravel road here, not any small dirt paths that branch off. You will reach a parking/camping area that has a metal gate. Park here.
The cache is about one half mile from the parking spot. There is a path part of the way that goes around a fence and then it's you and the GPSr over the dunes. Take time to enjoy the plants and critters. The cache is a black PVC container with a plethora of priceless(?) trading doo-dads. This is my first cache placed so I hope you enjoy it!
The cache has also been found on horseback by coming east from Rd K?
Note 1: as with any cache more than a few hundred yards from your vehicle we advise marking a waypoint where you park so that you may easily find your way back! Also, take a flashlight if it is near sunset, water in hot weather would also be adviseable.
NOTE 2: in replacing the container please don't screw the lid on very tight, one and a half turns is plenty -- leave well over half of the threads showing so that it turns easily for the next visitor. Thanks.
