Geocache Description:

Isn’t geocaching great! I have met many quality people through caching; in fact I think I can safely say that most of my best friends (even those I've never met) are cachers. So I am always happy to see an email in my Inbox from noreply with the words ‘XXXX contacting you from Geocaching.com’. If that floats your boat too, this cache is for you!

FunnyNose, a Seattle based geocacher, recently contacted me about setting up a multi cache with a bit of a difference - and here it is!

The published coordinates won't get you anywhere - except wet. To solve this puzzle, you will first have to:

1) FINISH: Multi-Cache Hobart-Hobart TransPacific Multi-Cache Part A.

2) COPY: all the information found inside the cache. (Including Washington parking coordinates and hint.) Your counterpart will have similar information.

3) COMMUNICATE: with a cacher near Hobart, WA, USA; they will need to retrieve informaton from Hobart-Hobart TransPacific Multi-cache Part 1. So how do you get information from a cache that is nearly 13,400 kilometres away? You’re going to have to engage in some TransPacific cooperation! One way you could do this is to check out this cache and others in the area, read through logs, and see who seems to be a local cacher. Contact them through gc.com and see if they are willing to work with you.

4) GET PASSWORDS: To be sure that the cacher in Washinton has actually located their micro-cache, ask for the Tasmanian password. They in turn will ask for the Washington password.

5) GO GET YOUR LOCAL FINAL CACHE: Once you have contacted a cacher in Washington and traded information, you will have the coordinates for the final cache.

6) TASMANIAN SPECIFICS: The final cache location is on a fantastic bush walk; this track is at altitude, so please be prepared for changeable weather, wear a hat, bring some water, etc. You are looking for a camouflaged ammo can.

*** PLEASE, NO SHARING OF THE PASSWORDS AND COORDINATES WITH OTHER LOCAL GEOCACHERS. ***

Congratulations to the Cheesy Pigs for getting FTF on this one! At a special award ceremony that took place at the Taste on 1 January 2006, they were presented with their FTF prizes for this cache and Part A, two Washington State Geocaching geocoins. These coins were very kindly provided by FunnyNose!
