Geocache Description:

Cache is located .8 mile from the parking area. GPS may show less but it is a winding trail. You may want to add an extra point to the terrain rating in the summer.

Parking coordinates on Long Point Road are - N27 52.527 W80 28.077 (Use Google Map to check getting to cache from A1A) The day the cache was placed there was an abundant amount of wildlife observed – from Osprey, Blue Herons to a number of other water birds. The walk out is about 3 quarters of a mile; it is a loop, so if you’re into it you can really make a hike out of it. Bring your bike; they are welcome on the trail. One thing to beware of is the fire ant mounds – they are very unhappy when disturbed. It looks like this cache can be accessed by boat if you so desire. Cache is a container is a camo'd lock & lock box - tethered to withstand hurricanes etc..

1-29-15 - It seems to have been removed, so I replaced it. I did place a big rock on it to try and protect it from animals who have a craving for plastic! Please place the rock back on the cache gently when you are done - thanks!
