Unfortunately, this well isn’t easily accessible. It’s
water was famed for healing weak eyes. The well and a small chapel
still stand in a wooden valley, several hundred yards from the
cache. The cache is placed next to the DeLank river, into which the
well water flows some hundreds of yards further downstream.
This set of seven Geocaches is based, if somewhat loosely on the
seven “Holy” Wells in the area of the Kernow Kachers
Christmas 2005 Bash. The wells are the seven closest to St Tudy - I
have not been selective - They aren’t the seven prettiest
wells or nicest wells - in fact they cover the complete range of
Holy wells, including the good the bad and the ugly!
A word of warning - none of the caches are in or even close to any
of the wells - some are a few yards away - others maybe the best
part of a mile away.
The Cache is a large plastic jar, that originally held a Kilo of
peach slices - yummm
Suggested Parking N 50° 32.196 W 004° 40.931
Way 1 N 50° 32.294 W 004° 41.064
Waypoint 1 - is a small gate and set of steps which leads to the
open land.
Way 2 N 50° 32.555 W 004° 41.067
Waypoint 2 - is near the river from which you can follow the path
to the cache.
I suggest you park at the coordinates above, and walk to the cache
via the two waypoints given.
You'll want wellies to do this cache - it's very wet in the
area
