Ravenswood Trail Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

MotorBug: Went out today to upgrade this cache to be in conformance with the Mid-Peninsula Regional Open Space District guidelines and found the cache is now just behind two new signs designating the area as restricted "National Wildlife Refuge." It's probably close enough to the Ravenswood OSP trail to not be a problem, but it is a bit out of the way to maintain and nothing special so I have decided to archive. Cache has been removed. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

A decon container. No need to trample the plants, it's easily obtainable from bare ground.

This cache was planted 11/4/05 with the intention that it was to be the final stage of a multi. However, another cache got planted near where I was going to put a stage, and I found much of the Ravenswood Slough area on the other side of the highway is closed several months a year for hunting. So this sat. When I came back to add some cache goodies and get the coordinates that were in my GPS sent in for repair, I found that the digitalfish had found and logged it on 11/12/05. I asked them and here's how: "We found it by simply reading your logs about placing a cache on a path in the area (when you didn't take the correct path to our cache in the other section of Ravenswood). We went out to the cache at the end of the path and on the way back just started looking around and found the benchmark and the cache. All without any help and only using publicly available knowledge!" A brute force, cool! Digitalfish get the FTF. Part of the SF Bay trail, open dawn to dusk.
