This non-descript rest stop is just a parking lot. It looks like it was once a weigh station for trucks, but is now completely leveled and just a pull-over on I-80. That's why I thought it would be a great TB motel site. (If you want amenities, just one mile east is a fabulous modern rest stop with free wifi, a doggy park and more.)
Ah, I-80. Called by one website "a major transcontinental corridor," it spans the USA from San Francisco to New York City. It also sports the world's largest truckstop at Walcott, Iowa. Stopped here after some Christmas shopping near Williamsburg, IA, and set up the cache.
So, if you've got a TB who's itching to see the country, but can't drive, drop him or her off at this Travel Bug motel on eastbound 80 for fame, fortune and adventure, or something like that.
The motel features heated outdoor pool, non-smoking rooms, HBO, and,,,okay, just the container and a logbook. But, bring your bug by - you'll be glad you did! Have fun!
