Geocache Description:

A nice walk in the Northern part of Puttenham Common.
The walk is fairly easy but it may be too steep for buggies in certain areas.

This cache contains the long lost treasure of the notorious Pirate, Captain Henry Standring. It is said that his ship, "The Black Hedgehog" was carried here from the coast by a severe storm and wrecked in the woods. The treasure was then buried and soon after all of the crew mysteriously died of gunshot wounds before the Captain himself vanished and was never seen again.
Some say he still watches over his treasure and that his cutlass can be heard rattling on a dark windy night!

The co-ordinates below are for the car park, where I would recommend parking, so as to make a good walk of it.
N 51 13.074 W 000 41.803.

If you take some treasure from the cache you must put back something or else the ghost of the captain will follow you home and it won't be pretty me hearties!!!!
